Tujuannya beragam, dari sekedar membagikan foto rambut baru hingga menceritakan hidupnya dalam bentuk rekaman video.<\/p>\n<p>Melansir Daily Mail, para peneliti dari <em>Brigham Young University<\/em> menyelidiki motivasi penggiat media sosial dalam membagikan hasil selfienya. Penelitian yang melibatkan 46 partisipan ini berhasil mengkategorikan tipe orang membagikan selfie, dari yang paling sering dilakukan dan dihindari.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Komunitakor<\/p>\n<p>Tipe pertama ini sering melakukan foto narsis dan video yang melibatkan percakapan. Orang yang bertipe komunikasi kerap berbagi informasi kepada temannya di media sosial terkait aktivitasnya. Motivasi seorang komunikator ialah untuk mendokumentasikan kegiatannya dan membuat kenangan di media sosial.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>Self-Publicists\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tipe ini memiliki kesamaan dengan komunikator, di mana tertarik untuk membagikan aktivitasnya, tetapi ada beberapa faktor yang membedakan. <em>Self-Publicists<\/em> hanya akan membagikan hasil selfie terbaiknya, tidak semua aktivitasnya dibagikan. Lokasi atau aktivitas yang paling menarik akan dikelola dengan baik, lalu dibagikan ke media sosial. Tipe ini sangat menghidari foto <em>\u201ccandid\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Autobiographers<\/p>\n<p>Autobiographers hanya membagikan selfie untuk merekam kenangan, mengekspresikan diri dan menceritakan kehidupannya. Tipe ini berbeda dengan dua tipe sebelumnya, di mana tidak mempertimbangkan tampilan lokasi atau apa yang sedang dilakukannya. Tipe ketiga ini tidak mengelola hasil selfienya agar terlihat menarik.
